Muckdogs Win NY Penn League Championship
The team that Doug coaches for, the Batavia Muckdogs, won the NY Penn League Championship. The Muckdogs is the Short Season A affiliate for the St Louis Cardinals Organization. This is the first time in 45 years that the organization has won a title. Doug has been rehired and will be returning to the Cardinals organization for his second season. Learn More

Coaches Honored at Cardinal's Busch Stadium
Doug White was flown to St. Louis with the rest of the coaching staff for the Batavia Muckdog class A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals Organization. The ceremony was held on the field at Busch Stadium before one of the last home games of the St. Louis Cardinals 2008 season.
Each coach was awarded a watch to remember the championship engraved with the words "NYPL Champs '08" (NY Penn League).
Doug is looking forward to repeating the same success next year. In the 2009 season, Doug will be in Johnson City, Tennessee with the Johnson City Cardinals, the advanced rookie league affiliate of the Cardinals Organization.

Doug White and Brent Strom completed the third annual Alaska Quakes Travel Ball Organization clinic in Alaska.

Doug Returns to Point Loma High School
Doug will return to Point Loma High School for his fourth, consecutive year in order to prepare their pitchers for the upcoming season. The Point Loma pitchers will participate in an entire throwing program with mechanical breakdown and also a strength/conditioning program. Additionally, this year, Doug will focus more on the all around factes of the pitching game from mechanics to pitching fielding practice to situational pitching during games.

Successful St. Louis Cardinal Season
It was another successful season for Doug working with the St. Louis Cardinals. Doug spent the season as the pitching coach for the advanced rookie league team, the Johnson City Cardinals. Doug was able to assist his pitchers in all facets of the game and in the end they had their best record in over ten years.
